Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents to grant 15 days of Emergency leave without escort to the detenue, Yesudoss, S/o.Paulraj aged about 30 years, bearing Convict No.19233, at Central Prison, Coimbatore.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) On the ground that the life convict's wife/the petitioner herein, is suffering from chronic liver disease, she has filed the present writ petition seeking for Emergency Leave for 15 days .
2. The Probation Officer's Report dated 18.01.2024 also ratifies the medical ailment. Earlier, her husband was granted Emergency leave between 19.08.2023 and 26.08.2023.
3. In view of the Probation Officer's Report, we are inclined to grant ordinary leave to the petitioner's husband Yesudoss, S/o.Paulraj for a period of fifteen days.
4. Accordingly, the petitioner's husband viz., Yesudoss, S/o.Paulraj aged about 30 years, bearing Convict No.19233, confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore is granted 15 days of Ordinary Leave without escort, commencing from 03.02.2024 with a condition that the petitioner's husband shall report before the Inspector of Police, Thenikarai Police Station, Ramanathapuram District daily at 10.30 a.m.
5. On expiry of 15 days of Ordinary Leave, the petitioner's husband viz., Yesudoss, S/o.Paulraj aged about 30 years, bearing Convict No.19233, shall surrender before the third respondent at 5.00 p.m of 18.02.2024.
