O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein update the petitioner's details in Patta No.2558 in Survey No.105/2 in Sekkodi Village in extent of 2,598 3⁄4 sq.ft., in Sekkodi Village, Palacode Taluk Dharmapuri District based on the petitioner application dated on 25.11.2022.

2. In respect of property at Survey No.105/2 in Sekkodi Village, Palacode Taluk Dharmapuri District, it is the case of the petitioner that, the property belongs to the petitioner's father one Vaiyapuri, who settled the property in favour of the petitioner, based on which, the petitioner wanted the patta to be transferred in his name, therefore he has given an application on 25.11.2022 and to consider the same and to pass orders, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.M.Selvam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that, the said 2/4

application submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits by the 2nd respondent within a time frame.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein and having regard to the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order:

There shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.11.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
