ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 4 th respondent to consider the representation dated 28.10.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta in his name. 2.

When the matter came up for hearing on 07.02.2025, this Court took into consideration the earlier order that was passed by the DRO, Vellore, dated 24.09.2020. By virtue of this order, the patta that was issued in the name of two other persons was cancelled and a direction was issued to restore the classification of the property as "Arasu Thoppu". While so, the petitioner has

made a presentation to the 4 th respondent seeking for issuance of patta.

3.

In the considered view of this Court, either the order passed by the DRO, Vellore has to be put to challenge or if the petitioner is seeking for reclassification of the land, he can only approach the District Collector and seek for the necessary relief. The 4 th respondent does not have any jurisdiction to deal with the representation made by the petitioner. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition. 4.

This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. 28-02-2025 rka To 1.The District Collector District Collector Office, Sathuvachari, Vellore, Vellore District 2.The District Revenue Officer Vellore, Vellore District 632009
