O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to pass appropriate orders conferring permanent status in accordance with the proceeding of the 2nd Respondent made in No.C/4498/96 dated 02.04.1998 and as represented on 21.02.2014.

2.Even though the petitioner has submitted his representation to the first respondent dated 21.02.2014, the first respondent has not taken any action to dispose of the same, which prompted the petitioner to move this Court for the above direction. 3.Considering the limited scope of prayer, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.02.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and after conducting enquiry, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.In the result, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
