Jayanthi .. Respondent This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties present. Ms.S.Sivasankari, learned counsel for the petitioner is present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT This criminal revision petition has been filed against the judgment dated 01.10.2019 passed in C.A.No.67 of 2019 on the file of the XVII Additional City Civil Court, Chennai, confirming the order dated 08.01.2019 passed in C.C.No.9925 of 2014 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, (Fast Track Court No.II), Egmore, Chennai. 2.

On arriving at compromise before this Lok Adalat, the parties filed a joint memorandum of compromise dated 12.11.2022 and the same stands recorded.

In terms of the joint memorandum of compromise, the petitioner has agreed to pay the settlement amount of Rs.5,10,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs and Ten Thousand Only) in two installments, in that, the first installment of Rs.2,55,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Five Thousand Only) will be paid to the respondent on or before 11.02.2023 and the second installment of Rs.2,55,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Five Thousand Only) will be paid to the respondent on or before 11.05.2023, failing which, interest at the rate of 6% per annum has to be paid by the petitioner from the date of installment till payment on both installments. The award is passed accordingly. The joint memorandum of compromise dated 12.11.2022 filed by the parties shall form part of this award. This criminal revision petition is disposed of accordingly. Connected Crl.M.P. is closed.
