ORDER

Heard the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondents.

2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.11.2013, and to dispose of the same, in accordance with law.

3. The petitioner is an elected Ward Member of the 5th Ward, Vettapattu Village Panchayat, Natrampalli Taluk, Vellore District. As such, he has lodged a complaint, before the first respondent, to take an action against the President of the Vettapattu Village Panchayat, alleging that he has misappropriated the funds, belonging to the Vettapattu Panchayat, to the tune of Rs.12,38, 855/-. However, no action had been taken by the first respondent, who is the District Collector-cum-Inspector of Panchayats, Vellore District.

4. In such circumstances, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, before this Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

5. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that, based on the complaint of the petitioner, necessary action had been taken against the President of Vettapattu Village Panchayat, and he has been removed from the post of President of Vettapattu Village Panchayat, by an order, passed by the first respondent.

6. In view of the said submissions, made by the learned counsel, appearing for the respondents, this Court is of the considered view that no further orders are necessary, in the present writ petition.

The writ petition stands closed. No costs.
