ORDER

Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

3. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner on 28.10.2020 before the first respondent.

4. The petitioner aggrieved by the order dated 05.10.2020 passed by the second respondent rejecting his application seeking for issuance of Legal Heirship Certificate for her https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

husband Late Madhesh, who died on 11.10.2003 has preferred a statutory appeal before the first respondent on 28.10.2020. Since the appeal has not been disposed of, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a Mandamus for early disposal of the statutory appeal.

5. Heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions would submit that the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner before the first respondent is scheduled for hearing on 15.02.2021 at 3.00p.m. He would also submit that the first respondent shall pass final orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass orders on the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
