Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents herein to issue joint patta to the petitioner for the lands to the extent of 0.01.99 sq.meters in Old Survey No.63/6 and New Survey No.105/17 Chinnamampattu Village, Kallakuruchi Taluk, Villupuram District. The petitioner has also given representations dated 25.07.2017 and 23.01.2018 to that effect.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said request has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.07.2017 and 23.01.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
