Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the petitioner representation dated 27.06.2022 and thereby directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to issue a natham free house site patta in respect of his residential property situated at Survey No. 35/1 Vaniyambadi Municipality No.7 Vaniyambadi Village and Taluk to an extent of 900 Sq.ft. of land building on par with other residents of the same survey number of landed properties. The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the petitioner representation dated 27.06.2022 and thereby directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to issue a natham free house site patta in respect of his residential property situated at Survey No. 35/1 Vaniyambadi Municipality No.7 Vaniyambadi Village and Taluk to an extent of 900 Sq.ft. of land building on par with other residents of the same survey number of landed properties.

2. The petitioner claims that he had been residing for more than 40 years at the land situated at Survey No. 35/1 Vaniyambadi Municipality No.7 Vaniyambadi Village and Taluk, where he has put up construction, for which he has got house property tax receipts water tax receipts, electricity receipts, family card and Aadar Card, Voter ID etc., Based on those documents, the petitioner had given a representation to the respondents for issuance of patta on 27.06.2022 and since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.A.Rajesh Kanna learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4. Learned Government Advocate would submit that the said representation dated 27.06.2022 submitted by the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Having regard to the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.

"That there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.06.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
