Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 7th respondent herein namely the Registrar, Central Administrative Tribunal, City Civil Court Complex, Chennai 600 104 to dispose of the pending O.A.No.858 of 2016 on the file of the CAT, Chennai Bench within a time frame that may be stipulated by this court.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

2. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the Central Administrative Tribunal for early disposal of the pending O.A. filed by him challenging the punishment of compulsory retirement inflicted on him.

3. It appears that the respondents had entered appearance and filed their reply statement. The grievance of the petitioner is that the punishment is the counter-blast of his Union activities and though he has a good case, since the Original Application filed by him is not yet taken up for consideration, he is in the lurch and is struggling for his livelihood.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited scope of the prayer in the present writ petition, it is disposed of with a direction to the Central Administrative Tribunal to consider the grievance of the petitioner and to dispose of the matter within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
