ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter, viz., S.Agalya, aged about 19 years before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Agalya, aged about 19 years, had gone away with the third respondent and that the police have not taken effective steps to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

secure her.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Sathangadu Police Station Crime No.16 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered and the investigation conducted so far revealed that Agalya was in love with the third respondent and had eloped with him.

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ennore Range, to monitor the investigation in Sathangadu Police Station Crime No.16 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, under intimation to the petitioner and the learned Magistrate shall pass orders with regard to the custody in accordance with law.
