ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to provide police protection to the petitioner and his property situated at No.1, Susila Street, Chinnaiyan Nagar, Sevilimedu Village, Kanchipuram Taluk, based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 06.12.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is aged about 65 years and he settled his property in favour of the second wife and subsequently, the second wife and her son attacked him and hence, the petitioner has filed a petition before the Sub Collector and after enquiry, the Sub-Collector passed an order on 12.09.2019 setting aside the said settlement deed, but even thereafter, the petitioner's second wife and her son are not allowing the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner to enjoy the same and hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent police on 06.12.2019, but no action has taken on the said complaint.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that since the dispute between the petitioner and the family members, petitioner's complaint still kept pending for enquiry.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to an conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint by calling the petitioner and also the opposite parties and dispose of the said complaint within a week.

6. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
