O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in connection with the order passed by him in O.O.No.165/ 2025/E1 dated 07.10.2025, quash the same and direct the respondents to retain the petitioner in any one of the Office of the respondents in Chennai.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner entered the service as Stenographer Grade - II during the year 1997 and was posted at the Zonal Office, Chennai. The petitioner was promoted as Manager (General) during the year 2012 and during February, 2023, the petitioner was transferred to Andhra Pradesh Region and was thereafter transferred to Zonal Office, Chennai during December, 2025. Whileso, the first respondent issued the impugned transfer order transferring the petitioner from Chennai Zonal Office (South) to Kerala Region.

3.The petitioner appeared before this Court today (29.01.2026) and submitted that this Court may consider the petitioner's posting in Andhra Pradesh.

4.Mr.C.K.Chandrasekar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions from the Officials appearing on behalf of the respondents, submitted that there is vacancy available in Andhra Pradesh and further submitted that if the petitioner join in the Zonal Office of Andhra Pradesh, then the posting order will be issued in Andhra Pradesh.

5.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is directed to join the Zonal Office of Andhra Pradesh on or before 30.05.2026 and the respondents are directed to give posting order within a period of one week thereafter in Andhra Pradesh. Till such time, the respondents are directed to retain the petitioner in Chennai Zonal Office (South).
