O R D E R
S.VAIDYANATHAN.,J and MOHAMMED SHAFFIQ.,J The Present Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench Chennai to dispose of OA.No.310 of 2017,as expeditiously as possible, within a stipulated period.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Original Application filed by the petitioner which is of the year 2017 has been pending for a long time without any progress and therefore the petitioner has approached this Court for early disposal of the said application.
3. Heard both sides. Perused the records.
4. The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be granted as such, on account of the reason that granting of such relief will amount to opening a Pandora box, which will ultimately result in piling up of cases before this Court.
5. The Special Government Pleader (Puducherry) brought to the attention of this Court that there is no Presiding Officer in the Central Administrative Tribunal and the Judicial Member from Ernakulam is operating through Video Conferencing. He further pointed out that there is only one Judicial member at Chennai. When similar circumstance arose before this Court on the last occasion, this Court has directed Mr.R.Sankaranarayan, Additional Solicitor General to appraise the Government for appointment of required number of Judicial Members to the Tribunal and ensure that there is no stagnation of proceedings before the Tribunals.
6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
