ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Seeking a direction to the respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter namely Preethiba, aged 16 years, before this Court and hand over the custody to the petitioner forthwith, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed. 2.There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 3.The petitioner is the mother of the detenue. As the detenue was found missing, a case was registered in Crime No.1304 of 2018 for 'girl missing'. As the detenue could not be secured, the present petition has been filed. 4.From the status report filed by the respondent, it is seen that adequate steps have been taken to secure the detenue and about 12 witnesses have been examined thus far. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.We are satisfied with the progress made in the investigation. However, we do not want to keep this petition pending any longer. Hence we direct the respondent to proceed with the investigation. As and when the detenue is secured, she should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 6.With the above observation and direction, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
