ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the final report filed in S.C.No.98 of 2014 on the file of District Sessions Court, Thiruvannamalai for the offence under Sec.306 I.P.C. r/w Sec.3(11)(V) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner fairly submitted that pending quash petition, the trial has been commenced and almost all the witnesses have been examined. Hence, this petitioner may be permitted to raise all his defence before the trial court.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. As the criminal case is of the year 2014, the trial court is directed to proceed with the trial and to dispose the same expeditiously and the petitioner is at liberty to raise all his defence before the trial court. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
