This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the XVII Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, to take the petition filed under Section 379 of BNSS and hold a preliminary enquiry

in Crl.M.P.SR.No.80673 of 2024 in O.S.No.5559 of 2008. 2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the Criminal Original Petition, the XVII Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, is directed to take the petition filed under Section 379 of BNSS in Crl.M.P.SR.No.80673 of 2024 in O.S.No.5559 of 2008 on file and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
