The Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 1st respondent to furnish the certified copy of the document dated 17.09.1965 bearing Doc.No.2725 of 1965, registered on the file of the SRO, Poonamallee".

2. The petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and he has been in continuous possession of the same. While so, one Ruby filed a suit against the petitioner for recovery of possession of the property on the strength of the sale deed dated 17.09.1965. The petitioner would submit that the said sale deed is a forged one. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the SRO, Poonamallee for getting a certified copy of the alleged sale deed dated 17.09.1965. Since the certified copy of the sale deed is not furnished, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the 2/5

records.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to issue a certified copy of the sale deed dated 17.09.1965, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
