PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Declaration declaring the order passed by the first respondent in G.O.(Ms) No.251 Industries (SIPCOT-LA) Department dated 31.12.2014 as illegal and for a consequential direction that the provisions of Central Act 30 of 2013 relating to determination of compensation in accordance with the First Schedule and rehabilitation and resettlement specified in the Second and Third Schedules being beneficial to the affected families, shall apply to the case of land acquisition where the notice under section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act 1997, (hereinafter referred to State Act 10/1999) published even before 01.01.2014 award costs.

This writ petition has been filed for seeking issuance of Writ of Writ of Declaration declaring the order passed by the first respondent in G.O.(Ms) No.251 Industries (SIPCOT-LA) Department dated 31.12.2014 as illegal and for a consequential direction that the provisions of Central Act 30 of 2013 Page No.2 of 5
relating to determination of compensation in accordance with the First Schedule and rehabilitation and resettlement specified in the Second and Third Schedules being beneficial to the affected families, shall apply to the case of land acquisition where the notice under section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act 1997, (hereinafter referred to State Act 10/1999) published even before 01.01.2014 award costs.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that already the State Government has passed the Tamil Nadu Land Acquisition Laws (Revival of Operation, Amendment and Validation) Act, 2019 (Act 38 of 2019) and granted fair compensation to the petitioner in terms of Act 30 of 2013.
3. In view of the above, no order is necessary in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
