CRL.O.P.No.10442 of 2016 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.
Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 in Crime No.31 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is said to have had forceful physical relationship with the victim minor girl on the promise of marrying her.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) vehemently opposed for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that the victim girl has given a statement stating that the petitioner had forceful physical relationship with her and that if the petitioner is released on bail, he will tamper the witnesses and hinder investigation.
4. Today, when the matter was taken up, there is no representation for the petitioner.
