O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 05.10.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for rectification of the mistake that has crept in the UDR scheme with respect to the subject property in SF Nos.734 and 735 wherein the names of respondents 4 to 18 have been included in the patta without any right.

Heard Mr.P.Santhosh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3. 3.

The specific case of the petitioner is that the property in SF No.734 and 735 originally belonged to the great grandfather and Patta No.188 was issued in this regard. While so, during the UDR scheme, the names of the private respondents have been added in the patta and according to the petitioner, 3/6

they have no right over the property. In view of the same, a representation was made before the 1st respondent on 05.10.2024 for rectification of the error and since the same was not considered by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 05.10.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to all the interested parties and a final order shall be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 5.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with the representation dated 05.10.2024 and all the other relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 4/6

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
