Crl.O.P.No.1011 of 2024 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.

The petitioner is A4 in S.C.No.23 of 2023, now pending before the Principal District Court, Thiruppur District, seeks bail. Originally, Crime No.111 of 2022 had been registered for the offences under Sections 342, 324, 307, 302 & 201 of IPC. The petitioner had been remanded to custody on 06.12.2023.

2.A report had been received from the Principal District Judge, Tiruppur District dated 24.01.2024 wherein it had been stated that the trial in S.C.No.23 of 2023 had progressed to a substantial extent and had been posted for arguments on 19.12.2023, 03.01.2024, 08.01.2024, 23.01.2024 and today/29.01.2024. It had been stated that at the request of the defence counsel, adjournment had been granted. If the learned counsel for the accused co-operate and advance arguments then immediately, on conclusion of arguments, without any delay, judgment may be passed by the learned Principal District Judge. 1/3

3.A counter affidavit had also been filed on behalf of the respondent affirming the above facts wherein it had been stated that the matter had been adjourned for arguments and that the evidence of all the other witnesses had been recorded.

4.Placing the above observations for disposal of the case, without any delay and without unnecessary adjournment, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
