The petitioner/third accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 8(C), read with 22(b) 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.571 of 2023, with respect to the occurrence which took place on 27.12.2023 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the respondent received information that three persons were selling nitravet -10 tablets behind Boomeeswaran Temple. The respondent went over there and arrested two of the persons. This Petitioner ran away. The accused Nos. 1 and 2 are still in custody. They were found in possession on 45 tablets weighing about 25.65 grams.

3. The investigation revealed that this petitioner had purchased the tablets from the fourth accused by courier parcel service.

4. Taking all the factors into consideration and also the fact that the fourth accused is still absconding, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Petition stands dismissed.
