ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2023, thereby seeking reinstatement to the service.

2. The petitioner was working in Tamil Nadu State

Marketing Corporation Limited as a Salesman since 1984. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Shop No.884 at Kodambakkam, Chennai, from 03.11.2022. During inspection, it was found that there was a shortage of the stocks worth about Rs.18,00,000/-, for which, an enquiry was conducted. The respondents directed the petitioner to pay the deficit amount of Rs.3,00,000/-, since there was totally six salesmen. However, the petitioner did not pay any amount and now, he submitted a representation to reinstate him as a Salesman. The petitioner had committed grave irregularities and therefore the respondents rightly disengaged the petitioner for any service. That apart, the petitioner did not comply with the direction issued by the respondents to remit the same.

3. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. 22.01.2024 Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Lpp To
