2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife, Laja Jessica and son Shalom Neffrin Kumar, have gone missing in connection with which a complaint was given by the petitioner to the second respondent and the same has been registered in C.S.R. No.11/2015. However, inspite of registration of the case, since no effective steps have been taken by the respondent police to secure the detenue, the present petition has been filed.

3. On 19.11.2015, when the matter was taken up, there was no representation for the petitioner and, therefore, this Court recorded that if the learned counsel for the petitioner is not present on the next date of hearing, the petition will be closed. Even today, when the matter is taken up, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4. Learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the detenue has rejoined the petitioner.

5. In such circumstances, no purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending and, accordingly, recording the statement made by the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
