ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.02.2016 and grant sanction under Section 197 of Cr.P.C. to prosecute against the second accused.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the first respondent.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation dated 25.02.2016 to the first respondent seeking sanction under Section 197 of Cr.P.C. to prosecute against the second respondent herein. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
But since the first respondent has not shown any interest to dispose of the said representation, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to give up the second respondent and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
4. Recording the submission and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition, as against the second respondent, is given up.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 25.02.2016 for granting sanction under Section 197 of Cr.P.C. to prosecute against one C.Asaithambi, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
