ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2014 for appointment as City Engineer from 24.09.2014 in the light of the instructions orders issued by the Government in letter No.27706/ MC/4/2001-3 MAWS Department dated 19.03.2002 and G.O.(2D) No.2 MAWS Department dated 18.01.2006 and G.O.(2D) No.24 MAWS Department dated 12.04.2013.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the petitioner was appointed as City Engineer in Coimbatore Corporation and hence, nothing survives for adjudication. However, the learned counsel sought liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent authorities for any other relief. 3.Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
