This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to survey the land belonging to the petitioner and to measure the same and mark the boundaries.

Heard Mr.S.R.Karthikeyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate for Respondents 1 and 2. 3.

The petitioner is claiming right over the subject property by virtue of a registered Settlement deed dated 01.03.1993. The further case of the petitioner is that patta was also granted in his favour in Patta No.4909. The petitioner wanted a survey to be conducted in his property by measuring the same and to fix the boundaries. Accordingly, the petitioner made an application and paid the necessary charges. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 2/5

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 30.05.2024 and conduct the survey by measuring the property and fix the boundaries. If there are any other rival parties, the survey shall be conducted in their presence. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
