ORDER

This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to grant minimum wages to the petitioners in terms the third respondent proceedings dated 09.05.2019 issued in Na.Ka.No.4174/2018/C1, by applying G.O.Ms.No.62, Labour & Employment Department, dated 11.10.2017,

pending disposal of the main Writ Petition.

2. Since the main relief is to bring the petitioners under regular time scale of pay on par with Sanitary Workers, the interim relief of minimum wages sought for in the Writ Miscellaneous Petition, which is based on the minimum wages drawn by the Sanitary Workers, is intrinsically connected with the main relief. Inasmuch as the interim relief is dependent upon the final adjudication of the main Writ Petition, no interim direction as sought for can be granted at this stage.

3. Accordingly, the Writ Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed. However, the rights of the petitioners are left open and shall be subject to the outcome of the main Writ Petition.
