ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide bus service facility to the villagers in Sorappur Village, Veeranam Post, Villupuram District.

3. The learned State Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submits that due to non availability of sufficient passengers, the bus service was withdrawn, as the villagers prefer to travel by share auto for short distance and finding that the bus service might not be viable, it was withdrawn. It is further submitted that if a direction is given to consider the representation, they will make proper survey and if the bus service is found viable, an appropriate decision would be taken.

4. Taking into consideration the said submissions of the learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.11.2021 and after conducting a survey, if the bus service is found viable, the same may be operated.
