ORDER

Intending to purchase the property described in paragraph 2 of the affidavit from the second respondent, the petitioner had entered into agreement of sale dated 02.08.2025. In relation thereto, the petitioner has also filed O.S.No.326 of 2025 before the District Munsif, Sriperumbudur. Apprehending that the property would be conveyed to a third party by the second respondent, the present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the registering officer not to register any documents relating thereto.

2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the first respondent. On the basis of written instructions, it is submitted that an unregistered agreement of sale was executed by and between the petitioner and the second respondent. It is also submitted that a protest petition has been received from the petitioner and that no document of conveyance has been received from the second respondent for registration.

3. In case a document of conveyance in relation to the relevant property were to be received from the second respondent, the registering officer shall consider the protest petition of the petitioner in accordance with the registration rules before deciding whether to register such conveyance. It is needless to say that the petitioner and the second respondent should be put on notice and provided a reasonable opportunity in such event.

4. With these observations, this writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs.
