O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned VI Additional City Civil Court to dispose the Crl.M.P.No.14151 of 2016 before disposing the main case in Crimiinal Appeal No.18 of 2014.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that on the basis of the private complaint given by the respondent, a case was registered as against him. In the said case, after completion of trial, the learned 11th Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, convicted the petitioner under Sections 465 [two years rigorous imprisonment]; 468 [3 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.1000/-]; 420 r/w 511 [3 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.500/-]; and 120[B] IPC [one year with fine of Rs.500]. Thereafter, the petitioner had filed appeal before the VI Additional City Civil Court in Criminal Appeal No.18 of 2014. 2016 asked the petitioner to argue the same along with Criminal Appeal No.18 of 2014. Hence, seeking early disposal of the Crl.M.P.No.14151 of 2016, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the case is of the year 2016, this Court directs the learned VI Additional City Civil Court, Chennai, to dispose of the case in Crl.M.P.No.14151 of 2016 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
