The writ petition has been filed for quashing the "LONG TERM PORMOTION POLICY FOR PROMOTION TO SMG SCALE-V, TEG SCALE VI, & TEG SCALE VII" issued by the second respondent under Memo No.29 of 2012, dated 07.05.2012, and to consequently direct the first to third respondents to re-issue the promotion policy for the period 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2013 by way of including all the candidates who were promoted in the same batch, without excluding anybody. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner union has challenged the promotion policy of the year 2012. As per the policy, the period of the policy shall be in force only for a period of three years i.e., from 01.04.2012 and the same had come to an end on 01.04.2015. Hence, the prayer sought in this writ petition has become infructuous. 4.
Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
