O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 04.08.2015 in finalising the seniority list meant for promotion to the post of Principal, District Institutes for Education and Training and pass orders on the petitioners' representation dated 04.08.2015, in accordance with law.
2.The grievance of the petitioners is that as per G.O. Ms.No.80 dated 22.03.1999, a ratio of 75:25 for Promotees and Direct Recruitees has to be followed for the post of Senior Lecturer. By the notification dated 19.08.2006, 46 vacancies are earmarked for the Direct Recruitees for the year 2006-07 and the vacancies for Promotees would be 138. Therefore, the petitioners are entitled for promotion to the post of Senior Lecturers even in the year 2006 itself and they should have been promoted in the said year. But they have given actual promotion only in the year 2009-10. In this regard, the petitioners have given representation dated 04.08.2015. As there was no response from the respondents, the petitioners are before this Court. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4.In the light of the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 04.08.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. -s/dAssistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar vga
