Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ or order of direction or any other Writ in the nature Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to maintain Status Quo in respect of the disturb the business of the petitioner in the name and style of "K.Ravi Sai Baba Flour Mill" at 4/15, Main Road, Annai Sathya Nagar 2nd Street, Nesappakkam, Chennai-600078, pending consideration of the application dated 11.01.2022 in TLNT/2021-22/128530, on the file of the 1st respondent.

O R D E R

Mr.Rahul Aditya, learned Counsel on behalf of Ms.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter finally. Hence, by consent expressed by both parties, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission.

2. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the respondents.

3. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondents to maintain Status quo and not to disturb his business running in the name and style of "K.Ravi Sai Baba Flour Mill" at 4/15, Main Road, Annai Sathya Nagar 2nd Street, Nesappakkam, Chennai600078, pending consideration of application dated 11.01.2022 on the file of the Commissioner, Corporation.

4. There is no trigger for having filed this Writ Petition. The petitioner was in receipt of notice dated 05.01.2022 pointing out that he had not obtained license for carrying out the business and that necessary compliance was to be effected within seven (7) days from date of receipt of notice dated 05.01.2022.

5. The petitioner would submit that an application has been made by him seeking issuance of license. Thus, admittedly, as on date, he is not in possession of the said license and being a defaulter, he cannot seek direction from this Court in any way at all.

6. In the light of the above position, this Writ Petition is dismissed in limini. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is also dismissed.
