ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.171 of 2010 dated 23.02.2010, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the material placed on record.

3.Today, Mr.M.Venkatesan, Inspector of Police, D3, Ice House Police Station, Chennai, is present before this Court and he has filed a status report. In Para 6 of the report, he has stated as follows:

"6.I submit that witnesses were examined by the then Sub Inspector of Police and draft final report also prepared by him and kept the bundle as such. I will file the final report within 15 days before the concerned Court."

4.Accepting his submission, though 15 days has been sought for by him, this Court grants four weeks time to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report before the concerned Court. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
