O R D E R

This petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tindivanam to dispose of the case in C.C.No.2 of 2018 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.

By an earlier order dated 22.09.2017 passed in Crl.O.P.Nos.17935 & 17936 of 2017, this Court had observed that the proceedings in S.T.C.Nos.157 & 156 of 2016 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry, shall endeavour to be disposed of.

3. Today, when the matter was called the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though three months have passed, there is not much improvement in the proceedings. I do not wish to make any observations with regard to conduct of the proceedings or on the trial Court with regard to the delay.

4. Nevertheless, taking into account of the fact that the proceedings are pending from the year 2016 onwards, it would be appropriate to fix the time limit for conclusion of the said proceedings. Hence, there shall be a direction to the learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Judicial Magistrate No-I, Tindivanam to dispose of the case in C.C.No.2 of 2018, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
