This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of writ of mandamus forbearing respondents 1 to 3 not to interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property and not to cancel the patta that stands in the name of the petitioners.
2. When the matter came up for hearing on 07.02.2025, this Court directed the learned Special Government Pleader to take instructions from respondents as to whether any attempt is made to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the property and any proceedings are initiated for cancellation of the patta.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader produced the written instructions received from the second respondent. The second respondent has made it clear that no attempt is made to 2/4
interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the property and no application has been received till date for cancellation of patta.
4. Recording the above stand taken by the respondents this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 18.02.2025 Index : Yes/No AT To 1.The District Collector, Office of the District Collector, Salem District, Salem - 636 001.
