PRAYER: These writ petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent in reserving ward Nos.1 & 5 respectively, of Kannamapalayam Town Panchayat for women and quash the same and direct the first respondent to announce ward Nos.1 & 5 respectively, of Kannamapalayam Town Panchayat as General in the Local body elections scheduled to be held in May, 2017 or on any subsequent date.
For Petitioner : M/s.R.Natarajan (in both WPs) For Respondents : Mr.S.Diwakar (For R1 & R3) (in both WPs) Special Government Pleader.

COMMON ORDER Heard Mr.R.Natarajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 3.
2. The Petitioners have made out a grievance by way of representations over the reservation for Women with respect to the Wards.
3. On receipt of the said representations, the second respondent in his official communication in O.Mu No.7505 of 2016, Complaint Section, dated 13.10.2016, requested the first respondent to look into the same and send reply to the petitioner. As the same is not forthcoming the present writ petitions are filed.
4. Though larger prayer has been sought for by the petitioners, in the light of the facts narrated above, it would be suffice, to direct the first respondent to give reply to the communication sent by the second respondent dated 13.10.2016, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
