This writ petition has been filed to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the order of the first respondent herein passed in G.O.(1D) No.254, Higher Education(H1) Department, dated 05.09.2012 granting approval of redesignation of Technical Officers as Lectures in the University of Madras and quash the same insofar as fourth respondent herein is concerned and consequently direct the first and second respondents herein to consider the petitioner for promotion as Head of the Department of Nuclear Physics with all consequential service and monetary benefits. 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner filed memo dated 2/4
18.03.2021 stating that on 16.03.2021 itself, the counsel handed over the entire bundle to the petitioner along with change of vakalat. However, even till today, the petitioner did not engage any counsel to represent on his behalf. When the matter was called, either the petitioner or his new counsel did not appear before this Court. It shows that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the case further. 3.
Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed for default. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
