Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2024 by following natural justice in the recruitment of Tamil Nadu ration shops 2024 for the post of salesman and interview and selection process should be conducted on the merits and the merit list of all the applicants should be published and the petitioner's

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to consider the representation dated 02.01.2024 with respect to appointment to the post of Salemen in ration shops in Tamil Nadu.

2.It is contended that the petitioner had applied for such post and had also attended the interview, but the appointment order had not yet been issued.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents stated that the appointment process has to be made in the proper manner and that the records will have to be verified and if the

petitioner is eligible, he will be considered. However, the process will have to be completed in all the Districts before appointment is made. 4.The respondents may examine the representation made and also the application of the petitioner for the post of salesman and his performance in the interview and accordingly, take a decision to appoint him or not to appoint him. At any rate, the respondents may take a decision to appoint the salesmen in the ration shops within a reasonable time, from when the selection process is completed.

5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
