ORDER

The above petition is filed to punish the respondents under section 11 of the Contempt of Court's Act, 1971 for willful disrespect and disobedience of the order dated 12.12.2024 made in W.P.No. 38317 of 2024.

2. A letter dated 06.02.2025 has been received from the District Forest Officer, Coimbatore Division by Mr. Selvendran, Spl.GP. in which it has been stated as follows:- "As per the orders of Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Madras, the construction works was stopped and the location for construction of Anti-poaching camp has been shifted to Ayyasamy Kovil Saragam (GPS Readings N 10.920496, E 76.875395), Karadimadai beat, Madukkarai Range, Coimbatore Forest Division, and presently the works are going on (photos enclosed). And no works were carried out in the location as mentioned by the petitioner." 2/5

3. It is also stated that construction which has been put up is only upon the land which stands in the name of the Forest Department as evidence in patta no.389/2022. Therefore, it is clear that the respondents are not interfering with the possession of the petitioner. The photographs of the construction have also been enclosed in the letter. The said letter is taken on file.

4. In view of the above, the Contempt Petition stands closed. No costs.
