..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to calculate and pay the gratuity payable to the petitioner by reckoning his entire length of continuous service from the date of his initial appointment i.e., 05.03.1984, instead of from 01.11.1985, and consequently direct the Respondents to disburse the differential gratuity amount payable to the petitioner along with interest.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 26.11.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner has made a representation, dated 26.11.2025 before the respondents seeking recalculation of gratuity by taking service from 05.03.1984. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Ms.Pavithra, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.11.2025, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2025 will be considered and appropriate order will be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.11.2025, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
