This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on receipt of summon, the petitioner appeared before the second respondent Police and produced all the documents. Though the petitioner appeared before the respondent-Police for enquiry, still the respondent-Police is harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Hence, he filed this criminal original petition.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that based on the complaint, the petitioner was summoned and he appeared before the respondent Police

once. Subsequently, the petitioner has not appeared before the respondent-Police for recording statement. The respondent Police is not harassing the petitioner.

5. Upon receipt of the complaint, it is the duty of the police either to conduct enquiry or to investigate the matter and the same might not be amounted to harassment. The petitioner is directed to extend his cooperation to the respondent-Police/Investigating Officer for completion of investigation.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
