Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 2 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 28.07.2025 consequently direct the respondents to drop the proposal to construct a compound wall blocking the existing the public road in T.S.No.116/6, old S.No.1167/B1 in Konnerikuppam Village, Ward No.4, Block No.46, Kancheepuram Taluk and District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner on the question of admission.

2. In this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, by way of a public interest litigation, the petitioner seeks for a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to consider his representation dated 28.07.2025, being aggrieved by the proposal to construct a compound wall blocking the existing public road in T.S.No.116/6, Old S.No.1167/B1 in Konnerikuppam Village, Ward No.4, Block No.46, Kancheepuram Taluk and District.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that respondents 2 and 3 are not deciding the representation. In view of the same, we direct respondents 2 and 3 to decide the pending representation dated 28.07.2025 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible,

preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.9195 of 2026 is closed. (SUSHRUT ARVIND DHARMADHIKARI, CJ.)
