COMMON PRAYER: Criminal Original Petitions filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent herein to furnish the free charge sheet in Crime Nos.680 & 682 of 2009 (P.R.C. Nos.53 & 58 of 2010) respectively pending on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai to the petitioner immediately.

Advocate (Crl.Side) COMMON ORDER Criminal Original Petitions are filed to direct the respondent herein to furnish the free charge sheet in Crime Nos.680 & 682 of 2009 (P.R.C. Nos.53 & 58 of 2010) respectively pending on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai to the petitioner immediately.

2.It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate [Crl.Side] that in respect of Crime No.680 of 2009, the respondent police filed charge sheet for offence under Sections 342, 397, 323, 419 and 506(ii) IPC, which is pending trial in S.C.No.473 of 2018 before the XVII Additional Sessions Court, Singaravelar Maligai, Chennai, listing 13 witnesses. Totally there are three accused in the above said case and the petitioner herein is A2. Out of 13 witnesses cited, 7 witnesses have been examined and summons have been taken for examination of further witnesses.

3.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] further submitted that in respect of Crime No.682 of 2009, the respondent police filed charge sheet for offence under Sections 341, 324, 392, 427, 307 and 506 (ii) IPC r/w 34 IPC, which is pending pending trial in S.C.No.472 of 2018 before the XVII Additional Sessions Court, Singaravelar Maligai, Chennai, listing 10 witnesses, in which the petitioner herein is ranked as A1. Out of 10 witnesses cited, 8 witnesses have been examined and summons have been taken for examination of further witnesses.

4.It is to be seen that after the copies of the charge sheets are given, the cases would be committed to the Court of Sessions and on completion of the committal proceedings, the cases have been pending for trial on the file of the XVII Additional Sessions Court, Singaravelar Maligai, Chennai. 5.In view of the above nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, these Criminal Original Petitions stand dismissed.
