PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in No.1163/BCDFGISSSV/2024 dated 25.11.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein and set aside the same as illegal and produce the detenue Vinothkumar @ Vinoth @ Onan Vinoth, S/o. Mohan, aged about 33 years, who is confined at Central prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Honble Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.265, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 20.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
