Criminal Original Petition is filed by the petitioner/defacto-complainant to call for a status report of the investigation done in Crime No.11/2012 and direct the respondent to complete the investigation within a time frame stipulated by this Court and also recover the gold from the accused shop.
2.The learned Government Advocate submits that the investigation in this case is almost over. There are totally four accused, except for A1 all the other three accused are absconding and i.e. the reasons for delay for filing charge sheet.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that A2 to A4 are doing jewellery business and they are very much available. Be that as it may.
4.This Court feels that the abscondingness of the accused may not be the ground for delay in filing of the charge sheet. The respondent police may denote the status of the absconding accused in red and to file the charge sheet within three weeks. 5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
6.Post the matter after three weeks "for reporting compliance".
