This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records of the proceedings in Crime No.967 of 2021 on the file of Velipalayam Police Station, Nagapattinam District and quash the same.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR, it would be suffice if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report at the earliest.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
perused the materials available on record.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four(4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
