The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass necessary orders on the petitioner's application dated 02.09.2006 seeking for enhanced compensation.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that inspite of his application dated 02.09.2006, the respondents have not passed any order in the application so far.

3.Mr.N.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that the petitioner's application dated 02.09.2006 would be considered by the 1st respondent, in accordance with law, within a time frame.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 02.09.2006 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible. 5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
